As the non-profit partner of Science Friday, the Science Friday Initiative provides financial support for the radio program and engages in other outreach activities designed to promote science literacy. Founded in 2003 by Science Friday’s host/executive producer Ira Flatow, the Science Friday Initiative aims to provide public platforms for discussion and understanding of the latest discoveries, innovations, and controversies in science.
