Achieving in Higher Education with Autism/Developmental Disabilities
Pittsburgh, PA

This is a magnificent program that truly helps students with Autism and other Developmental Disabilities studying in higher education. The program was started in 2002 at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. Since then, it has expanded into a total of 9 cities in 7 states.

100% of college students who participated in the program for one semester improved their GPA by at least a half point, and sometimes by as much as two points.

90% of students who were on academic probation were able to successfully continue their college careers with the program’s support.

Although it is a great program, there is one downfall— the cost. Students involved in the program pay for most of it out of pocket; usually $4200-$5400 per semester—on top of regular tuition!!

Together, if we all help, we can significantly reduce the cost of the program and help these students graduate!! :)

Achieving in Higher Education with Autism/Developmental Disabilities is not verified as a 501(c)3 organization.
